Living in South Florida has its perks, and one of the greatest is having wonderful restaurant options. Our family loves all things food....good food, I should add. We have eaten at many restaurants in our area and although there's still so many on our list to try, here's a list of our go-to eateries for most budgets, that provides great food, superior customer service, and cleanliness.

Rosie's -7127 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33150 (Black Owned)

Rosie's is a Southern American restaurant with touches of Italian nuances. We learned of this gem via Facebook and when "The Hungry Black Man" shared his review, it was confirmation that we had to try the once pop-up restaurant. Willie and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary over a hot, comforting brunch at their old location. The food was so good, we decided to take our parents on two separate occasions. The owner Jamila is very attentive and hands-on. We've dined at their old locations numerous of times and looking forward to all of the vibes their new backyard concept has to offer. It is believed that they have decided to make it a permanent venture. If you're in Miami, Little River area, be sure to check them out. You wont be disappointed.

Kristof's Kafe-8912 W State Rd 84, Davie, FL 33324

Kristof's is a cute small café located in Davie, FL. It offers breakfast and lunch. There's something about celebrating special occasions by trying new restaurants. In 2019, hubby and I commenced our 8th anniversary over breakfast at Kristof's. We were pleasantly surprised, which is why we're known repeat customers. The food is very affordable, they offered non-pork alternatives, and the portion sizes are fair. Go early, often times, there's a wait.

Big John's Eatery- 100 Sansburys Way Suite 108, West Palm Beach, FL 33411 (Black Owned)

Big John's Eatery is a fairly new breakfast and brunch spot, established in 2020. When hubby told me that we were traveling 45 minutes up north to kick off my 35th birthday, my first thought was, this place better be worth it. Not sure if this business was born as a result of the pandemic, but we are so glad it is here and thriving. The few times that we've dined at Big John's, the owner was there and attentive to customers. I love when business owners and their employees are personable.

It's always a pleasure.

Beach House-270 N Pompano Beach Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33062

Beach House gives all the tropical vibes. It reminds me of being on a cruise, docked on a private island. It sits next to the Pompano Beach pier, looking onto the beautiful beach. The views are gorgeous! Beach House has a great amount of space and dining area options. The food is fresh, the service is swift but good, and there's tons of natural background for pictures. Dress cute, because you wont be able to resist a great picture and maybe some videos.

Luff's Fish House- 390 E Palmetto Park Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Luff's Fish House is set to give you the taste of the Keys. We haven't had the opportunity to visit the Keys yet, but if the food is anything like Luff's, then I want in! This is one of my husbands favorite seafood restaurants. The freshness of the seafood reminds him of being in the Bahamas. The eatery is housed inside an historic bungalow, that offers intimate seating inside and shaded patio seating outside. I have yet to try anything that I didn't like on their menu.

Francisca Charcoal Chicken & Meats- 2258 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33324

Francisca's is one of my family's newest favorite restaurants. Our eldest daughter is an extremely picky eater and our first time trying Francisca's, she wouldn't stop talking about how delicious the chicken was. Her taste buds definitely didn't fail her, because it is by far the BEST chicken that I have ever had. We purposely order extra to have leftovers. The Latin American cuisine did not disappoint, and has gained loyal customers.

GoPho- 2262 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33324 (Black Owned)

GoPho is a Vietnamese inspired restaurant. My husband is obsessed with their spicy oxtail pho, and I've found a new love for their oxtail fried rice. GoPho is one of our go-to, take-out restaurants. They're not skimpy on the meat and portion size of what we order, and the food is seasoned well. We haven't tried much on the menu because we're extremely satisfied with our repeated order. So delicious!

J. Alexander's- 8550 W Broward Blvd, Plantation, FL 33324

I was introduced to J. Alexander's about 15 years ago, and we have been in a healthy relationship every since. They have been the most consistent with food quality, taste, and topnotch customer service. Perfect for any celebration. Anytime we have family and/or friends in town, J. Alexander's is first on the recommendation list of restaurants to try.

Eddie V's Prime Seafood- 100 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301

Eddie V's is by far my favorite fine dining restaurant! Most of the time you have to have reservations in order to dine in, because they're so busy. I purposely don't eat anything a few hours before dining at Eddie V's, usually the plan is to order whatever I want. The wait staff always make sure we're well taken care of. We've tried an array of options on the menu and they were all spectacular. If you're a seafood lover, check them out!

Prime 112- 112 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33139

Prime 112 is a boutiques steakhouse located in the historic Browns Hotel in Miami Beach. It's intimate atmosphere is perfect for a nice date night. I saw a few kids dining in, but I wouldn't per se that it is a small kid-friendly restaurant. Prime 112 is known to have a celebrity of two at any given time of opening and reservations is highly recommended. South Beach traffic can be annoying but the Prime experience is worth the drive. We enjoy ourselves every time we go.
